Book a longer appointment with your GP and ask about a Mental Health Treatment Plan. If they think it is appropriate they will prepare the plan and write a referral, which allows Medicare to cover up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year — the first referral usually covers up to 6 sessions, then your GP reviews how you are going.
