Who we see from Shell Cove
The marina was an idea long before it was a harbour. It was decades in the making. The harbour covers about 12 hectares, ringed by some 2.6 kilometres of boardwalk, and Shellharbour Marina now runs to 270 berths with the Waterfront town centre on Cove Boulevarde beside it. Shell Cove Public School serves the suburb. Past the last street, heritage-listed Bass Point Reserve and the National Surfing Reserve at Killalea take over.
That produces a distinctive caseload. Some of it walks in off the boardwalk loop and the golf course: knees, hips, Achilles tendons and golfers’ shoulders belonging to people who intend to keep using them. Some of it is young — Shell Cove is a growing residential community, so junior football, netball and nippers deliver ankles and growth-plate niggles, and the surf at The Farm delivers shoulders. And some of it works: a suburb still under construction has trades on site most days.
From Shell Cove to Captain Cook Drive
A straightforward run north: out of the estate onto Shellharbour Road, past the old harbour village turn-off, then Captain Cook Drive into the medical precinct — about 9 minutes, longer around school pick-up. Shell Cove has no station of its own, but buses run the Shellharbour Road corridor and the nearest stop to us is on Lake Entrance Road, about 150 metres from the door.
Worth knowing: this is a medical complex, not a shopping centre. Alongside our physiotherapy and psychology it holds a GP practice, pharmacy, dental, pathology and radiology, so pre-physiotherapy imaging can happen on the same trip.

Veteran Card holders with a referral: DVA’s fee is accepted as full payment and no gap is charged.

Two terms get blurred constantly. Bulk billed means Medicare, which only pays a physiotherapy benefit when you hold a valid referral. No out-of-pocket cost applies under WorkCover, CTP and DVA, where an insurer or the Commonwealth pays instead.
