What to Prepare
Pre-employment Medical Exams help in the screening process of the applicants that can become a part of the company. Usually, these medical exams are also another factor in the decision of getting you hired. It is important for the company to know if you are fit to work and that you will be able to handle the required physical part of the job.
When preparing to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical Exam. There are a few things that you should keep in mind on what to do before coming to the examination and on the day of the examination.
- Before attending the assessment:
Ensure that the Pre-employment questionnaire is completed. Most of our questionnaires are digital. Once completed online the assessor will be able to view your answers before your attendance and the assessment will run more efficiently.
For hard copy questionnaires, ensure they are filled out prior to the appointment. Attend to your appointment time slightly to ensure the assessor has had time to view your answers prior to commencing the assessment.
- When attending the assessment:
- Please bring with you
- Photo ID. (The assessor will not commence with the medical unless your ID is verified)
- Any hearing aids you might wear
- Contact or spectacles if you wear them
- If you wear a mask while you work, bring that with you to the assessment
- Current medications you are currently taking
- Also
- Don’t consume too much water prior to the assessment as this may affect the results of the drug and alcohol test.
